Jerad Foster
Jerad grew up working as a third generation carpenter in the Northland area of Kansas City. Spending his summers working on framing crews developed his interest in building and 5 years of Architecture school heightened his taste for design. After graduating from Kansas State University in 2005 he landed an internship at RDM Architecture, giving him valuable experience in all aspects of residential design and small office dynamics. After rehabbing his own Mid-Century Modern Drummond home, design + build work slowly began trickling in and Studio Build was born.
Jerad's interest in Modern Architecture and furniture from the 1950's & 1960's has led to an extensive designer furniture collection. He serves on the board at KC Modern and enjoys researching and documenting Kansas City's Modern Architecture. He's currently working on his second Drummond remodel that his wife Jessica, son Lincoln, daughter Nora and he call home.
Jerad is the liaison between the design & build sides of our work. He walks the fine line between bringing projects in on budget while maintaining the design intent. He spends part of his day working at Studio Build as a designer; the other part of the day is spent on job sites working for Foster's Inc. as the General Contractor for our work.
Jerad is Currently a Class B + Class C Licensed Contractor in Johnson County, Kansas; and Kansas City, Missouri.
